In a study done by Local Road Research Board, researchers found that dust control treatments lowered dust levels which improved visibility, air quality and safety conditions on gravel roads. Additionally, these treatments reduced the need for grading by a conservative estimate of 50 percent and reduced the need for gravel replenishment.
